 * Obvious newbie here, please and thank you in advance. I’m sure that this has
   been answered somewhere but I have been trying for weeks now.
 * I wish to copy the entire content of an installation from one domain to another
   BUT have the two installations function completely independently of one another
   once that is done.
 * I have succeeded in making the clone. The original is [sgnews.ca](http://sgnews.ca)
   and the clone is [test.understandingcomputers.ca ](http://test.understandingcomputers.ca)
 * However, there is only one Dashboard, sgnews.ca. Further, visiting the URL test.
   understandingcomputers.ca just redirects the user to sgnews.ca
 * I have created a separate mysql database on the clone site and edited the wp-
   config.php to reflect that change. Both sites are with the same host but neither
   is a sub domain of the other.
 * I wish to sever one from the other.
 * What have I missed?

 * Thank you for this.
 * I knew that somewhere a mind much more versed than my own had developed a solution.
   I am thrilled to have attracted the attention of a mod.
 * I have installed the plugin. The next challenge, apparently, is to become a superuser.
 * In my quest to separate the two sites, I carefully removed all traces of multisite
   installation. Logic would suggest that I must go back and enable multisite if
   I am to become a superuser.
 * I will try this, now. Thanks again.

 * PS, last time I enabled multi site, I created considerable havoc when I deactivated
   and reactivated my plug ins. Is there any avoiding this?
