    @numeeja

    I’ve just tested this on one of my own sites on OSX 10.9.3 with Safari 7.0.3. The alligator popup opens as it should with in new browser window.

    I suspect that this may not be an issue with the plugin, but is the result a setting that has been changed in your browser options.

    Safari has a user-selectable setting which can force the behaviour you have described.
    To check whether this is the cause of what you are seeing, in safari’s application menu go to:
    safari => preferences => tabs
    Is the option “Open pages in tabs instead of windows” set to “Always”? If so set it back to the default setting “Automatically”?

    When this option is set to “Always” the javascript function to create a new browser window will be overridden and create a new tab instead not just for for sites using alligator popup, but for all sites.
