I’m loving this plug in right now and would love to donate…but…

The Search Box and input area looks great in FireFox and Chrome on a Mac. Safari not so much.

In FireFox and Chrome the text input is centered vertically next to the Submit button (when enabled) and the search progress icon animates nicely next to it.

In Safari the text input area is a rounded rectangle aligned with the top edge of the ‘dgwt-wcas-sf-wrapp’, is cramped agains the submit button and the search progress animation can barely be seen.

Any hope of getting Safari to render the input box similar to how FireFox and Chrome do?

    Thank you.

I actually forgot the most important part – the content of the search results list is overlapped on itself.

    Hi rvoelker,
    Apologies for the delayed response.

Does the problem still appear on Safari?

You can install Simple Custom CSS and write a few lines of CSS to customize appearance of a serach bar. I will help you. Show me the places to improve.

    Any screens are welcome.

    Damian,
Thanks for the response. Yes, the problem still exists in Safari.

Here are a few screen shots of the differences of of the code is displayed in different browsers.

I’m not very good at CSS but can get around with a little guidance.

    Thanks –

    Hi rvoelker,

Check out the last plugin version. I added extra CSS especially for Safari. I hope this helps. Let me know.

    Awesome, thank you!

    You ALMOST have it..
√ the search box now looks like FireFox and Chrome – Bravo!
√ the product detail slide-out sits on top of the main page content as it should – Bravo!
X the overlap/crowding within the search results pop-down still exists.
…product summary text does not fit within the row hight. It looks like the row height is fixed in Safari, and very short. In Firefox the row height appears to be dynamic, expanding to fit the summary content.
