• The page you’re using this plugin will go down as a soft 404 for Google and you’ll lose positioning. For what reason God knows why that’s the way it works.

In my case, the two single most important and most visited pages in my website were taken down for two weeks and I didn’t know what was happening or why that was the case. Now I do. Just took the plugin off and everything works all over again.

    Update on 09/26/2018

The problem was the Page Cache with W3TC in nginx returning a problem only while using the plugin, but the problem wasn’t the reviews plugin, was the bad inner workings of W3TC Cache Plugin.

    Hi,

Sorry, could you please explain how the plugin affects to the page and make 404? 404 error indicates that the page is not found and this only happens if your server is sending 404. Our plugin absolutely can not do this.

In my opinion, you did not understand the problem to the end and for some reason published this review, although we are sure that the problem is not in the plugin.

As far as I know, Google can throw out pages from the search, for absolutely no known reasons, and therefore add them back, in most cases it will happen when goes re-indexing of the pages, which in my opinion happened in your case.

I think that you are wrong, publishing your negative review here, since our plugin just add additional content to the page.

I can providde you details individually if you like to check. Plugin enabled, no Google success, plugin disabled Google success again, but sadly after I’ve lost ranking. I hope I can recover everything now. I’m testing a new page only with your plugins to check it and for now, it really is your plugin causing the problem. Disabled Cloudlfare for these specific pages but no success, still.

No I’m not joking. If you want to check this closely, I’m all up to it.

In Google Search Console the URL can’t even be inspected, not in the new, but in the old console fetch as google a success message is given, but only with the new pages created one for Facebook plugin and another one for the Google plugin.

The other thing is, success is intermitent now, one time Google gives me the green light other times it doesn’t. This kind of thing can’t happen with stable pages, and only happens when the plugin is enabled.

This developer went through it all with me and I’m most thankful for it. My mistake since the problem was the W3TC Page Cache with nginx not working, and it still doesn’t work.

I take my negative review of 1 star off and commend the plugin since it is one of the few available and the only one who works and has a nice appearence. Thank you Daniel, and I’m sorry to led you through it all, but it was necessary, since I told you, I lost rankings only using the plugin in the pages, but the problem was the W3TC Cache and not your work, plugin and unrivaled dedication. Thank you so much and hope to talk to you again if necessity takes us through there.

It made me discover a much worse problem in my website caused by W3TC cache, if not for the plugin, I would have never discovered, so I have to thank him twice. Much obliged. Much appreciated.

Hello Ghav and the support team. I’m glad i’ve found this thread. I’m too am sure i have been penalised by google for including this plugin. Also I’m using the WP Fastest Cache plugin. Now i’m not sure what to look for or what can be the issue with the cash? What was it in your case? Could i hear some more to maybe help me and others please? I really don’t want to take this plugin off my site…

    best regards

    Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,

Could you explain, what and how exactly Google penalised your site? Better if you send several screenshots where we can see the issue and understand what’s going on.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the quick reply,

The only change i made to my site was adding your plugin to ( https://costaricatreatmentcenter.com )

Here now a screenshot on how it affected my position in on google shown by the search console. Since that is the only change i made it seems google has given a “soft” penalty which comes without any notification.

I am using a cache plugin as well. Even though i have cleared the cache, i still wonder if that could have any influence.

    many thanks in advance

@sunnysonic are you using nginx? Disable browser cache configuration in your site config file in nginx generated by the cache plugin (as it is done also here by W3TC) and test it.

It should work out fine. Let me know how it goes since I don’t have experience with your Fastest Cache Plugin.

@sunnysonic I saw your homepage https://costaricatreatmentcenter.com/ and I did not find our plugin, if you talked about the slider at the middle of the site, this one:

Sorry, it’s not an our plugin. I do not know what kind of plugin it is, but definitely not ours, you need to try to find the author of this plugin and contact him.

    Thanks!

Thank you very much. That is absolutely right. I’ve contacted them instead already. many thanks!
