    Hi There,

We have been using w3 total cache to offload our assets to s3 with cloudfront with great success for a long while now, until recently. At what appears to be random times, the region field under the bucket details resets to US East (N Virginia) and our media library no longer works. This is the field on the CDN settings page under Configurations:Objects.

We have a lot of users and they often dont realise this connection is broken and we end up with a few days of erroneous uploads before I go in and set it back to our actual region. At which point we need to re-upload the files from the previous days, and our front end is missing a lot of assets.

The site is hosted using Elasticbeanstalk on AWS, could this be something to do with it? We have a number of sites using this configuration without any issue, and as I mentioned, it has been working great for a number of years up until now.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Thanks!

    Hello @nicklarosa

I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to assist you with this.
Just to confirm, this happens on random websites, meaning there is no issue on other websites?
Have you made any changes to the configuration on the websites experiencing the issue, possibly a plugin update so we can determine if this may be causing this?
    Thanks!

Thank you very much for the assistance.

I have three websites set up with this config at the moment, each one has been running for a few years. The issue has happened to two sites. One of them just started working one day and the issue never came back. The issue has just started happening to one particular site now.

No real changed has been made to the site. Plugins were updated about a month before the issue showed up on the current instance.

    Hello @nicklarosa

Thank you for the information. This seems like an isolated incident and possibly the issue was with AWS updating the regions.
We cannot seem to replicate this and this is the only issue of this kind reported. Possibly some small but with updated AWS regions on their end.
Please let us know if the issue continues to persist.
    Thanks!
