  • I can’t answer your question, but I wonder whether you have tried FV Flowplayer.

There is a free version in the repo, while the paid version requires a one-off fee, not an annual subscription, and is well supported. I believe it will provide what you are looking for.

Thanks, but S2member’s [s2Stream /] shortcode only works with JWPlayer, so no other player. I would like to find out whether they are planning on implementing anything else than JWPlayer.

I understand that. But you will see that FV Flowplayer offers everything that you would get by using the [s2Stream /] shortcode with JWPLayer.

Even if the s2Member devs do decide to expand the use of the shortcode to other players, such a feature certainly won’t be available for a while, so I was giving you an alternative that you could use now.

    Oh, I see, thanks again.

The most important thing with the [s2Stream /] shortcode for me is that it hides the video URL from the page source code. Can FV Flowplayer do this? I can’t find info about this, but I can see the mp4 file in their demo page source code.

Why not ask the FlowPlayer devs?

    Just came across this.

It seems that FV Flowplayer can indeed do what you need it to do.
