    Greetings:

We’re running S2M and BuddyPress on a WP platform. We define Inactive users as expired members in a CMS environment, and S2Member Level 1 users as active (paid up) members. We do not use the Subscriber role.

Until recently, this worked fine, but suddenly about two weeks ago, all Inactive users were demoted by S2M to Subscriber. When I attempt to promote a subscriber user back to inactive, pretty soon that record is once again demoted to subscriber by S2M.

I must have somehow changed a S2M setting, or something else happened, because all this apparently began without conscious action on my part.

What S2M Settings or other parameters should I look for to stop this automatic demotion? Other ideas on what may be causing this automated demotion?

    Thanks,

    Airpilot

So far, no replies from any of you S2M Gurus! PLEASE get back to me on this – I’m still stumped, thanks.

Well, I’m still surprised no one replied. I found out what the problem was, so I guess I’ll reply to my own posting, in case someone else needs this info.

I went to WP-Admin > S2Member > PayPal Options > Automatic EOT Behavior, and set “Enable S2member’s Auto-EOT System?” to “OFF”.

A simple fix, surprised no one else thought of this!

    Thanks, anyhow,

Thank you airpilot, this was very helpful to me.

I did a search because I was having a similar but different problem with s2member demoted members when it shouldn’t, so I’ve also switched off the auto-EOT.

    Many thanks,
    Genevieve
