I have this problem since nextgen gallery v 2.1.56
While updating to 2.1.57 it fixed itself just for a fraction of a second, until the update was finished.

I have few plugins installed. All up to date; Deactivated them all, re-activated step-by-step – website page breaks again just when activating nextgen gallery plugin.

Also entire photo-gallery (from other page) which used nextgen, is not rendering any more. There is no error on that page, just no content displayed.

In the admin view if I go edit an article which had image attached through next gen, in the edit panel i’ll see just an icon. When I click it or the nextgen button to add new gallery, it opens a big white empty dialog box. Before uploading to 2.1.60 in this dialog box there was an error message: “Fatal error: Class ‘C_Attach_Controller’ not found in /home/arpiacsf/public_html/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/attach_to_post/module.attach_to_post.php on line 262”

    Other steps taken to debug/fix:
    – disabled ModSecurity option from cpanel, in order to not conflict with plugins
    – confirmed with guys from hosting that all conditions are met, as in https://www.imagely.com/docs/requirements/

    Please help. Thank you

@andreistudor – Have you tried re-installing NextGEN Gallery onto your site? Please go under Plugins > Installed Plugins and deactivate, then delete NextGEN Gallery. Then under Plugins > Add New … Search for “NextGEN Gallery” and re-install and re-activate it.

There seems to be some sort of issue where necessary code is not being found which leads me to believe the installation may have been corrupted by something; re-installing will hopefully sort that out. Please let us know if it does.

    Thanks!

    Yes, several times.

Did it again right now, to check with latest version.

    Same issue encountered..

@andreistudor – If when testing for plugin conflicts you start with activating NextGEN Gallery first rather than last do you still see the same issue initially?

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

Thanks for your continuous efforts of debugging the issue.

    Unfortunately, answer is Yes:
    – deactivated all plugins
    – reactivated nextGEN Gallery first.
    The page renders same error.

@andreistudor – Can you provide a link to your site? There may be something in the page source that can offer some hints on what to look at further.

    Thanks!

@andreistudor – Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

    Hello again,

Coming back to this issue, for this site set on WordPress 4.7 Twenty Twelve theme, I took following steps:
    – de-activated all my 4 plugins
    – deleted Nextgenn Gallery plugin
    – cleared browsing cache
    – re-installed Nextgenn Gallery

Just for 5 entire seconds it worked perfectly.
    Then stopped working:
    – page made with gallery, does not render any more (http://www.arpiaconstanta.ro/amintiri/)
    – page containing more articles, some of which containing nextgenn gallery embedded photos, displaying no article, but error message: RuntimeException thrown, A_Gallery_Storage_Frame_Event does not exists. (http://www.arpiaconstanta.ro/category/activitati-arpia/)

This is before re-activating any other plugins.

If I deactivate NextGen plugin again, at least this page will not throw the error, and still load other articles/videos etc.

    Any other solutions?

    Thanks

@andreistudor – Does your web hosting service provide any sort of caching system outside of WordPress? Given that it appeared to work initially then stopped generally points to a caching issue.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.

@photocrati – just so you know I’m having this issue too.

It only occurs on pages where I have embedded galleries (http://www.markholdenart.co.uk/scottish-paintings/)

In the admin area I also can’t get to the Settings panel, it generates the message:

Fatal error: Class ‘C_Attach_Controller’ not found in /path/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_basic_gallery/package.module.nextgen_basic_gallery.php on line 363
