I did’nt know if it was because the wp-config-sample.php file still had ‘sample’ in the filename so I tried removing that. (am I supposed to?) No difference anyway. All the details seem in order too and it just won’t load the script! I’m Stumped. * Thanks, everyone. Something I am ashamed to say I was messing up Lol) but, the page your trying to use, you’re using your site.co.uk/ whatever your blog is/wp-admin/install.php . . . right? Because that’s where you should go. * I apologize if you already did that, I mean no disrespect. I even have a book on WordPress which I am also following but the problem I encountered isn’t covered anywhere! I would read instructions before asking for help! Normally ‘it just works’ but for some reason when I open that install.php file in the browser still nothing happens. * MrMist, why do I need to edit the contents of that config file? Is that where the problem lies do you think? I have checked and double-checked the contents of it are correct. * BTW – I have now renamed it. The problem I’m having is that when I open wp-admin/install.php to begin the install, the page does not load. I have checked the config file many times – all seems in order. They set me up a database and they did say they DO support php. What else could be perhaps UNsupported?
