    Hi,

I have been told I have a malware on my site. I have come across your plugin with excellent reviews and I have downloaded.

I am currently a full scan now. Quite a few files are highlighted in yellow under the category of “Potential Threat”. In the FAQ you have clarified that not all these files under this category are malicious. I know nothing about coding. So how can I know which file is malicious. How can I remove it?

    Thanks
    Susana.

The Potential Threats are usually not malicious and good files often show up in that category for using function like “eval”.

If your site is infected you should be looking for files that come up as Known Threats. My plugin can automatically clean these files for you if you have the latest definition update.

If you KNOW that your site is infected but there are no Known Threats detected, and you have downloaded the latest definition update, then I can help you search through those Potential Threats for files that may contain some new threat or a new variant that is not yet defined in my plugin.

First I would like to what makes you think your site is infected. Who told you that it is infected and what evidence of an infection is there?

It is hard to help you troubleshoot without any specific information about your site and the symptoms you are facing. Please provide any details that might help me help you figure this out.
