I have a large WXR file that I’m generating to export content from another site. (It’s currently 24MB, but I haven’t written the code to include the 9000 comments yet.)
Rather than break the file up into tons of small pieces and run each manually, I’d like to just run the import from the command line. (I do have sudo access on the server.)
Is this possible? It seems like one could write a little php file to run the code from the import plugin, but I’m not familiar enough with the WordPress code to know how to do that. Does anyone know an easy way, or is anyone able to find one online — my Google-fu isn’t strong enough. Or should I give up on using WXR and have my code make SQL instead? (Seems like a pain.)
