What a total piece of junk with customer support designed to drive customers away. Mailchimp uses as their slogan buy more stuff. My recent experience says they should use buy less stuff. I am building a site using WordPress and Woocommerce. I decided to give the Woocommerce extension for Mailchimp a go to meet some requirements. I install the plugin, but it will not activate. I opened a ticket with Woocommerce. When you open a ticket with Woocommerce, you are required to upload a file that includes all of your server status, including whether the site is multi site. Eventually, Mailchimp tech support got back to me to tell me the plugin was not activated, I had to point out. nicely, that that was exactly what the support ticket said. After numerous screenshots and back and forths they said “Oh, our plug-in is not supported on multi site. So I asked, if I use one of the other mail chimp to Woocommerce plugins, will the full functionality of the Mail Chimp product be supported? No reply. So I opened the same query with Mailchimp customer support, giving the background. I got an email back from the same person, sending me the developer documentation and telling me that they had deleted my second request and, if I did not like their plugin, I could build my own. Nothing to recommend about this plug in, negatives on support.

Hi @bgonch, I’m sorry to hear you’ve had a poor experience with the plugin. I saw your review and wanted to chime in and try to help out.

Currently, the plugin (2.1.5) does not support multisites and we should’ve done a better job documenting that previously. However, in our next release, we will be supporting multisite installs and you’re welcome to give it a try if you’d like. Please note, this is beta build so please take the necessary steps for backups. We hope to issue an official release very soon.

Again, our apologies for any hassle. Thanks again for your feedback.

    Thanks,
    Kyle
