• Hey you lovely WP geeks. I have a lot of readers who would liek to subscribe to threads, but who don’t use RSS aggregators. I know there are third-party solutions like bloglet that they could use, but I want to make this easy on them. So…
Does anyone have recommendations or suggestions for how to allow users to subscribe to an RSS feed by e-mail?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Thanks for the suggestions, but these are very non-techy people. This is probably the only blog they read (and they may not know it’s a “blog”). I am looking for an e-mail solution because the ones I am trying to reach are not going to use aggregators (and they they don’t have ThunderBird either).
I use bloglines.com constantly (and FireFox), but this is not for me.

You can take a look at rss2email a python script, which can be customized.
Another option would be to add a “subscribe to this blog” button, a la scriptygoddess ( google results

If you are interested in a commercial solution check out this software that integrates RSS feeds in outlook.

Sorry, beating on the same bell here, but you could set up a http://www.BlogLines.com account for them and set it to send out a daily email digest. Just a thought.
