RSS issues and double-loading

I’ve tried fiddling with this on my own, but I have reached the point where I figured I should actually ask for help rather than wind up breaking my blog.

The problem:

I’ve gotten my RSS feed to work for maybe 24 hours, but then the feed stops feeding. Attempting to access the raw data by pointing my browser at acidqueen.projectremains.com/feed/ renders me the following error:

XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://acidqueen.projectremains.com/feed/
Line Number 1, Column 1:

(which tells me that it’s not reading something somewhere, or that there is something missing in a directory)

At first I thought the issue was with WP-Cache, so I disabled that. That solved a completely separate issue that I was having (my readers had to reload the site just to see it), but it hasn’t done a thing for the RSS issue.

I’ve tried copying the wp-rss.php and wp-rss2.php files to the /wp-includes directory–which seemed to work for a day or two, but now? No dice.
