# RSS Issue

 * I apologize if this issue has been addressed before, but I searched the archives
   and couldn’t find an answer.
 * I’m having a problem with my blog Hidden Track ([http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack](http://www.glidemagazine.com/hiddentrack)).
   Whenever I use the optional excerpt field for longer posts everything but the
   excerpt shows up in RSS readers. The beginning of the post is cut off for everyone
   who reads the post via RSS. Obviously this annoys some of our readers, and makes
   us look quite unprofessional.
 * Whenever we don’t use the optional excerpt the RSS feed comes out perfect, but
   some of our posts are long so we really like using the excerpt feature.
 * Does anyone have any advice on how we can get excerpted pieces to syndicate properly?
