• I have a dasBlog blog, and it appears the only rational way to do an import from dasBlog into WordPress is to use the RSS method. (I hate this because I lose all my comments, but oh, well.)

I have saved a RSS file for my entire dasBlog blog. I can upload it just fine, and WordPress does an OK job of importing it, but any time it encounters a line break in the actual html of the post, presumably within the body of the item tag, it substitutes every line break (\n) with a br and a line break! This destroys my formatting.

Is this just “how it is,” or am I missing something?

I found a possible fix. I put the 1.7MB RSS feed into a text editor and stripped out all line breaks (\n).

It’s disappointing that this bug was left in the RSS importer.
