I did search the ReadMe for RSS this time before I posted and did not come up with anything 🙂
Interesting question.
Did you try the second of the functions, from WP Beginner, using testimonials-widget
as the added post type?
not yet I was not sure the custom post type name. let me give that a go. Would be nice to have them in the feeds for my RSS to E-Mail weekly campaign.
SO I updated as:
unction myfeed_request($qv) {
if (isset($qv['feed']) && !isset($qv['post_type']))
$qv['post_type'] = array('testimonials-widget');
return $qv;
}
add_filter('request', 'myfeed_request');
And they are still not showing. :/
There is an “f” in the code BTW copy/paste just missed it 🙂
also tried this:
function myfeed_request($qv) {
if (isset($qv['feed']) && !isset($qv['post_type']))
$qv['post_type'] = array('post', 'Testimonials_Widget');
return $qv;
}
add_filter('request', 'myfeed_request');
but no dice they are just not showing up.
Could you maybe mess with it since you know your post type best and see if it’s possible?
It should testimonials-widget
in your latest code sample.
Have you tried debug statements to make sure the feed request code is firing off?
It’s a case, I’d be debugging and frankly not part of normal support.
I tried that as well, and they are just not showing up at all.

okay I need to set one up for you, but this is a production site. I might set you up on a dev site but I need to do a refresh on it fisrt
