  • UPDATE: Google podcasts is now up to date and in sync!!! The rest is still very much messed up. How can one RSS feed have such varied results?

    Hello ,

I tested your feed through our internal validator and found that you are using a security service called Encapsula, a service similar to CloudFlare. These security and website performance services are why you are having problems, they are only intended for web browser traffic and unfortunately do not handle podcast apps correctly or consistently. This is explained in detail on the podcasting manual under Podcast Hosting requirements in the “Where NOT to host” section.

If you want to continue hosting your feed on your own website you will need to stop using Encapsula. Otherwise you can move your podcast feeds to a service such as (A modern FeedBurner), to get around the limitations Encapsula is imposing.

This is interesting news. I will have to check that out. Bluehost, my host, specifically told me to use CloudFlare. Never heard of Ensapsula.

I am moving to PodcastMirror, but it will take time to update. We’ll see if this improves. Just added it to iTunes and it stops at September.

Moved over to PodcastMirror, but iTunes still not updating.
I used to update iTunes, but it has not updated. In fact, when I enter that it reverts to and it actually now only shows three episodes from much longer ago. I’m struggling.

However, Stitcher is good. Google Podcasts is good. Tune in is still a mess.

I checked Nameservers and none are pointed at CloudFlare so not sure how you are getting the reading you are getting. I am continuing to investigate that as well.
