RSS Feed Not Working Right in Safari and Mac Mail

Hi,
I see lots of rss problems in the forums, but couldn’t find anything that solved this. I’m using WordPress 2.8 and the LightWord theme. This is a brand new blog- but I could have sworn rss was working before upgrading to 2.8. Also on a mac using safari and firefox.

When I click the RSS Feed icon in Safari – feed://treadmilltrackstar.com/TreadmillBlog/feed/
No posts show up.

When I click the RSS Feed icon in Safari-

The posts show up with all the normal options.

In Firefox- if i chose to subscribe by mail – it sets it up for me in Mac Mail. But then, in Mac Mail – it says “feed is in an unknown format”

I’ve tried changing the permalinks setting do default – but that doesn’t seem to solve anything.

help!
