    Hello,

we got a problem with our site in WP: RSS feed is not working anymore, neither for /feed and same for category feed. We tried to reinstall WP rewriting all file, tried to disable plugins, changing theme but nothing changes.

    feed is actually empty, i.e

Where in the code is feed RSS generated? What we could try to solve? Many thanks

I noticed some weeks ago, just removed/replaced some plugins but no coding / hardcoded changes at all. All in website was updated as latest version, rest of WP is working as usual.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Try:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
    – If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Hello and thanks for suggestions.

I also tried to deactivating all plugins and reactivating one per time, no success: no relationship with bad /empty feeds at all.

Hi, wondering if you found the cause, as I have the same issue? Appreciate your assistance? Thank you. Matt

I have this same problem across multiple sites. All custom feeds are now broken.

    Side note to @allison-kirsop ,

Please do not jump into other topics. If the troubleshooting already posted made no difference for you, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. A lot more people will see your post, and that way you stand a good chance of getting the assistance you want. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

    I’ll be archiving your post.
