Hi. I just set up my blog at http://blog.whatthegeek.com and the RSS feed doesn't work.

Can you tell me if I did something wrong?

I am having some problems with my RSS feed capabilities also. I am at http://www.fityourway.com and I am using The Green Marinée template by Ian Main - Built for WordPress 1.5 . On the side and bottom it has some links ((NOT ALL templates give you those links))that I tried to paste into My YAHOO and my Gogle front page - both news readers. The links were:
    http://fityourway.com/blog/?feed=rss2 (GOOGLE)
    http://fityourway.com/blog/?feed=atom (MY YAHOO)

It seems to be working in Google. It seems to update when I post to my blog. I am not too sure about it though.
The feed on My Yahoo is interesting - it was working this morning but if I migrated away from My Yahoo and went back, it dissapeared. Now the link isn't working at all.

I want to know how to publish a feed, which I think should end in .xml. Does Word Press do update the feed automatically?

I hoped I helped and I hope I get some answers to my questions.

serenejen, perhaps there's an issue with the default content displaying. Try publishing a new post and see if that jars anything.

    jermeym, this:

    and this:

are your published feeds. The only reason to have them "end in .xml" is if they were actual, physical documents saved to your server. Instead these are (PHP) scripts generating the syndication content dynamically. And yes, as long as there's nothing unusual with your installation, they update automatically.

I can't answer to your issues with Yahoo.
