• I have upgraded from WP 1.0 to WP 1.2 mingus. Since the upgrade my RSS feed links have stopped functioning. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the solution?

  • Have you updated the .htaccess rules ?
What happens when you click the feed link on your page ?
If this doesn’t work, could we have a link to your site ?

No I have not touched the .htaccess rules.
When clicking the RSS link in the sidebar (something I had not tried before) it returns this error:
Only one top level element is allowed in an XML document. Error processing resource ‘http://cranialcavity.net/wordpress/wp-rss2.php’. Line 3, Position 2
<b>Warning</b>: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/cranial/public_html/wordpress/wp-blog-header.php:535) in <b>/home/cranial/public_html/wordpress/wp-rss2.php</b> on line <b>10</b>
Here is the URL to the index page.

    Hello 🙂
I would get wp to generate a new set of rewrite rules, and try those.

“generate a new set of rewrite rules”
    Could you explain further?

    Go to Options > Permalinks
It will tell you your current rule structure, and there will be a text box with some info in it.
Right click in the box, copy, and then save that to Notepad
Then go to the Templates editor. Scroll down the page, and there should be a link for your .htaccess
    Click that.
Your .htaccess should now appear in the editing box
Check that you can update the file (look for a message in the bottom right).
If you can, delete any rewrite rules in there, then paste in what you saved to Notepad, and Update.

I show both text boxes empty.
    one box above this text:
“If you like, you may enter a custom prefix for your category URIs here. For example, /taxonomy/categorias would make your category links like http://example.org/taxonomy/categorias/general/. If you leave this blank the default will be used.”
And one box below the this text.
