# RSS Excerpt

 * I have a blog on our website and a Mailchimp RSS Campaign that emails these blog
   updates out to our subscribers. However, I am only able to email the full post
   or the title and featured image. When I use the Mailchimp merge tags to use a
   summary of the post it pulls in the image and a link saying “Continue reading(
   post title)”. The blog page pulls in and displays the excerpt. But if you look
   at the feed [http://www.livingtowersflkeys.com/feed](http://www.livingtowersflkeys.com/feed)
   the description shows the post title, the image and nothing else.

 * Well, I see the excerpt in the feed, as pictured below.

 * Yes and no. I found a work around, but I would rather find a fix. A work around
   is to add text to the Excerpt field on the post. If you look at the blog page
   [https://www.livingtowersflkeys.com/blog/](https://www.livingtowersflkeys.com/blog/)
   you’ll see the most recent two posts are showing text I manually added to those
   two blog posts. Any posts after that are using pulling that text from the post.
   I would like the text to be pulled into the feed automatically.
 * Does that make sense?
