Which function(s) process the RSS feed, specifically the description?

I see that import_posts.php has the function ‘wp_rss_multi_importer_post’ which handles the execution, but I’m having difficulty locating the RSS specific functions.

If you’re talking about the feed to post, which turns the feed items into blog post, then its the import_posts.php file and the function you indicated is what processes the feed (via simplepie)
