I'd like to contribute a free theme to the repository.
It is based on http://www.roots.io and the latest bootstrap framework.

Is this starter theme structure allowed in the wp theme repository?
I highly customized it and "theme check plugin" returns the green box "Now your theme has passed the basic test..."
    Codex theme guidelines are followed.

A comment from a theme reviewer is highly appreciated :)
    Thank you

  2. Have you read https://make.wordpress.org/themes/ yet? They have a LOT of info about that.

Given the remark made about Underscores here - https://make.wordpress.org/themes/2014/04/07/how-to-ensure-your-ticket-passes-final-approval-audit/ - I think yes, you can use a structure framework to generate your theme. But again, go to make/themes, and they have places you can ask them directly :)

A quick update in case somebody gets over the thread:
my initial release was decline due to the roots wrapper structure so I completely removed the roots template engine. The theme went live then.
