Root Files Not Showing

    I am trying to upload files, namely the sitemap.xml site on my root. However, since installing this plugin (which I love!) I can’t seem to find where the root is. I’ve uploaded sitemap.xml, which must be in this format http://domain-name.com/sitemap.xml and it keeps saying file not found. I put it in the root, inside the wp-content, inside the theme root- everywhere and can’t get the sitemap to show no matter what. Everything now shows (images or uploaded files) inside folders, not in the root. Any ideas?
