Support » Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps » Root directory needed in additional pages 4 wordpress rewrites in root?

Here you can specify files or URLs which should be included in the sitemap, but do not belong to your Blog/WordPress.
For example, if your domain is http://www.foo.com and your blog is located on http://www.foo.com/blog you might want to include your homepage at http://www.foo.com

I’m uncertain about this, and I don’t want to cause any double entries or anything silly, I have no idea what I’m doing.

I have wordpress installed in “http://site.com/wordpress/”, but I have added .htaccess rewrites so it runs from “http://site.com/”.

Do I still need to add the root directory in this case or is it only for blogs run from a subdirectory/folder?

  • Sorry I didn’t realize this was a general forum.
This is in regards to the plugin “Google XML Sitemaps” version 3.2.5
The quoted text is the setting in the plugin, as I already have the sitemap in root and wordpress writes to root.

Should I still add root directory as an included directory to map or will this happen automatically anyway?

I guess what I’m really asking is the sitemap smart enough to know of the rewrites.?

Never mind I checked the file, seems legit.
