# Root directory error

 * I installed and activated, but when I click on the Add from Server link, all 
   I get is:
 * Error: This users root directory is not readable. Please have your site administrator
   correct the Add From Server root directory settings.
 * How do I correct this?

    Did you find some solution on this topic maybe? I have the same problem

 * Hi [@svetlanalanako](https://wordpress.org/support/users/svetlanalanako/) I had
   the same problem.
 * As [@dd32](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dd32/) suggested I went to plugins
   then options for the plugin. In there under Root Directory the problem is that“
   Lock browsing to the directory specified below” is switched on but the specified
   directory is empty. In my case i gave it the address of my images folder and 
   then it worked fine.
