# Roles and Post Access

 * I understand the roles concepts and that an author can only edit his own stuff.
   But how does WordPress determine who can edit an article once it’s published.
   I’m trying to find a way to turn off editing by the original author and keep 
   it open for editors and administrators. This would occur say 7 days after the
   post.
 * Any thoughts of where to turn?
