[Resolved] Role Scoper WP 3.5 breaks media upload and edit

  • After upgrading to WordPress 3.5 I am unable to edit items in the media library. The edit link does not have a href attribute and if I manually try to access /wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=mediaID the system dies with message “You are not allowed to edit this item.”. I am using the administrator account and have uploaded all files via that account.

Also the media upload tool freezes on the “crunching…” message and the file info and thumbnail are not displayed. The file is visible at the media library though.

Disabling Role Scoper 1.3.58 fixes the issue.

I have replicated this issue on two of my sites and need a fix ASAP.

  • I too am having exactly the same issue. I cannot edit or delete any items in the media library. I too upgraded to WordPress 3.5. Deactivating the Role Scoper plugin fixes this.

I too need a fix asap.
