Role Scoper and Protected Feed

    Hello,
I have Role Scoper plugin on my blog, so my registered users are into groups that can read only some categories’ posts.
I would like that my users have password protected feed rss only for their assigned categories.
    How can I do it?
    Thanks

  • Feed protection (via HTTP authentication) is now an option in the current version of Role Scoper.

I have to be really stupid, but I don’t understand how it works. I can’t find the extra parameter for the authentication. It’s set to “always”, but I can’t seem to find the suffix anywhere… Can someone fill me in on how this works?

    Thanks.

The HTTP Authentication option simply adds an “?http_auth=1” argument to feed links. Then Role Scoper invokes the http authentication for incoming links which include that argument.

In the Role Scoper 1.0.8, only regular feed links are suffixed. I have updated the 1.1 code to also handle Category, Tag, Author and Comment RSS links.
