Hi @darrylr,
Thanks for reaching out — I hope you’re having a great day!
What you’ve asked about is available in both the free and pro versions of the plugin. The user role-based limits are supported in the free version, but please note that they apply globally to all products.
If you’re looking to set limits for specific products based on user roles, that feature is included in the pro version. By enabling both the User Roles tab and the Per Product tab in the plugin settings (available in the pro version), you’ll have the flexibility to customize min/max limits per product and per user role.
You can explore how it works on our demo site here: https://orderminmax.instawp.xyz/
Also, here are some screenshots to help illustrate how the feature works: https://imgur.com/a/0PXwNWr
Let me know if you need help with anything else or if you’d like to try the pro version — I’d be happy to assist further!
Best regards,
Hi
Thanks, I test the plugin, and bought it but I noticed now that it doesn’t sum variations of an item towards a total minimum/max quantity?
For example, I think if you are buying bulk clothing, to resell from a supplier, you would possibly like to buy 5x Small, 5x Large & 5x Medium sizes that are variables of a variable product to meet the 15 pcs minimum requirement placed on the variable product as a whole.
Is this possible?
Thanks

Hi @darrylr,
Wishing you a great day, and apologies for the delayed response.
have you tested the limits using the specific user role for which the restriction is set? I’ve tested this on my end and recorded a video for you, and everything appears to be working correctly, including for product variations.
If you’ve set a general limit on a variable product, it will apply across all its variations. However, if you’d like to set limits individually for each variation, you can enable the “List variations” option under WPFactory > Order Min/Max > Products tab. This will allow you to define limits for each variation separately.
As for the message not displaying, please make sure the “Force” option is enabled under the Messages tab.
Also, if users are not being blocked at the checkout page when entering incorrect quantities or amounts, ensure that “Prevent users from placing the order with wrong amounts” is enabled.
Please refer to the video I’ve shared and double-check that your settings align accordingly. Let me know if you need any help configuring it!
Best regards,
Thanks, the video helped. I was able to set it up. Thank you.
