robots.txt not updating for www site

When I update the robots.txt through the all-in-one plugin, it updates fine but I only see the updates if I don’t use the www prefix on my site’s URL. The problem is that everything else on my site is apparently set to www as well as the google search console so it doesn’t see the updated robots.txt file. How do I get the plugin to update the robots.txt for the www location as well?

Example:
it shows updated robots.txt if I go to examplesite.com/robots.txt
but doesn’t show updates in the robots.txt if I go to http://www.examplesite.com/robots.txt
