[Resolved] robots.txt cache ausschliessen

    Ok. Sorry.

i am using your plugin and it’s working so far. My problem is that i can’t find the path to exlude the cache in the robots.txt file.

I am using the plugin cachify with standard settings. Can you help me?

    Hi slamjam,

excluding of the cache folder is only necessary if you use the plugin option HDD-Caching.

A possible way to exclude the path is described in the plugin documentation.

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /wp-content/cache/
    Allow: /

    Thanks, olusia.

    Hi Sergej,
thanks for this plugin. One comment. I was following your documentation and I tried to disallow the /wp-content/cache/ in the robots.txt file. I then found out that I don’t have a robots.txt file and by googling further I learned that this file is dynamically created by WordPress. I then had a look at Google Webmaster-Tool and looed at the content of robots.txt that Google found. The file actually contained this:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /_oeko_wp/wp-admin/
    Disallow: /_oeko_wp/wp-includes/
    Disallow: /_oeko_wp/wp-content/cache/

So your plugin or wordpress seems to automatically included this in the robots.txt file. Maybe you can include an information about this in your documentation.

    Thanks Michael
