Hi there. I think Google XML Sitemaps plugin creates a robots.txt file inside the root directory, however I can't see it in the FTP.

Is there a way to disable this robots.txt in the plugin so I can create my own custom robots.txt?

Or does it even create a robots.txt in the first place?

I wish there was a way to see this in the FTP system.

No one responds to these threads. Why is that? Aren't there any answers out there?

By default this plugin will attempt to create a robots.txt file if it does not exist in your WP folder. You can uncheck this in the settings page OR just create your own robots.txt file in the root and this plugin will no attempt to write out its own.

It works perfectly for me (i've written my own).
