Hello Snecz,
Thanks for reaching out about your robots.txt file. If I understand correctly, Yoast SEO reports that you do not have one though the file is there on the server.
This happens when the plugin does not have access to edit the file. Please make sure that the file is writeable by checking it over FTP. If the robots.txt file is only writeable to the owner and you still get that error, you might need to change permissions on the file. If you don’t know how to change permissions, please contact your web host for assistance.

Hello @maybellyne,
Not exactly. Yoast says that there’s no file, I can’t see robots.txt on the server, but I can reach robots.txt after submitting website url + robots.txt in the browser.
Thanks for the clarification.
You won’t notice a robots.txt file within the website files, as robotos.txt is automatically created by WordPress virtually. To edit your robots.txt through our plugin, please follow this guide: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-edit-robots-txt-through-yoast-seo/
We recommend having a robots.txt file that is as clean as possible. Please refer to this article: https://yoast.com/wordpress-robots-txt-example/.
