Ji Andrew. I have the same problem? Has you solved it?

Again Andrew. I have done somethings:
1- show the meta tag robots in the head
2- show it with the values “index, nofollow” and “noindex, follow” but I can´t have “index, follow”.
I think it is bug, but I´m not sure because my knowledge in not enoguh to say it.
Hey there,
I don’t think this is a bug as index.follow
is the default setting for the meta tag with name robots
.
The robots
meta tag follows the same rule as the robots.txt
: everything that is not explicitly forbidden is allowed.
Here you have everything in a nutshell: http://www.robotstxt.org/meta.html
Hope this helps. Maybe you should close this thread 😉

Ansas, thankyou very much for your answer. It´s fantastic and I´ve read the link and it´s all clear enough.
Thanks again
🙂

Thanks faiswiz. I´ll keep your post with my notes because it´s very interesting but at this moment I prefer doing nothing following what Ansas said. Really it is more important for me that my site works properly than seing the meta robots en the source.
Anyway, thankyou very much
