On my homepage, the sidebar is showing in the footer. When I click on an individual post, the sidebar shows to the right. I would like it to show up on the right on the home page as well.
I am using the PageLines Theme and I have been trying to resolve the problem using the settings page within the Template setup. I now have my box section in the footer as well and I don’t know what to do to remove the boxes from the footer either.
I have reset some of the settings, but am afraid I will remove all my widgets and sidebars if I do a total reset. Also I have not updated the version of WP because I do not want to lose all my site widgets and setup which happened a previous time when I updated the version of WP.
That’s often due to missing or extra div tags — or other HTML mark-up errors. So you might validate your pages to see if you can find anything like that going on.
I think it has to do with this post here. The sidebar doesn’t show up on this post either and it is changing the formatting on all the previous posts prior to this one. No problems until this was posted.
Well, there are certainly a ton of errors on that page:
It looks like you might be missing a closing div just above the sidebar div — like maybe that post cut off the div — but it’s hard to tell with so much going on…
Unfortunately, I cannot change the code at this time, so I changed the publish date and that seemed to work for the time being.
I have contacted the originator of the inlinkz code and asked for another. Hopefully that comes soon or it will be deleted.
Thank you so much for your help in this matter and your timely response. It is greatly appreciated.
I’m going to mark this as resolved. Have a great weekend.
