Right click menu on Firefox

  • I use the WYSIWIG text editor on Firefox. If I right click on the text editor to paste something, there is no paste option that comes up. The paste option does come up if I use the old text editor, and it comes up if I use Internet Explorer. Is there anything that can be done about this?

  • You’re right of course.

What you can do is to use keyboard shortcuts.
It’s also much faster when you are writing.
    Copy : Ctrl + c
    Cut : Ctrl + x
    Paste: Ctrl + v

Quick and easy. If you’re on Mac, I believe Ctrl would be Command ( ? ).

    Ah, Windows 3.1. Good times.

Hmph. Don’t knock it…. sometimes the oldies but goodies are the only things that work.

    Hi my spy 😉
I’m using the mouse most of the time, because I’m to lazy to learn keyboard accords. But the copy/paste shortcuts *are* faster!

You’d be amazed how many of those keyboarders from win3.0 etc that I still use (oh yeah, 3.0 was my first windows – buggier than an anthill!)

After 20+ years, you just get used to certain movements.

I was trying to find this out for my girlfriend, who doesn’t know any of the keyboard shortcuts. I never realized that you couldn’t right click and hit paste because I never did it, and always used the keyboard shortcuts.
