[Resolved] Right Arrow

  • When navigating through the images, the right arrow on the large image is bouncing around and you have to ‘hunt’ for it in order to scroll to the next picture on the right. to go left, the arrow appears when you hover and is stable.

    Is it possible to make the navigation arrows static and put them down where the captions are so that they can have fixed positions? As this is making navigation near to impossible.

    thanks

    It sounds like you have some CSS issues and/or conflicts with your theme. You can certainly use CSS to hide the arrows or move them elsewhere.

    thanks, i didn’t even think it might be a theme issue, doh.

    I think that it was a hover declaration in my theme, so adding something to disable that to the imageflow has stopped the bouncing. THANKS!!!

    i have managed to get it stable by tinkering in the css (mostly just trial and error) but the placement is still not ideal, although working and can now navigate successfully so that is progress 🙂

    Would it be difficult to move them into the title area and make them totally static? And is that pure css or would it involve other file edits? Any idea how i would go about moving them?

    thank you this is a wonderful pluging and really lifts the page! fabulous

    The easiest way is to use CSS. Something like this should work, but it depends on your theme as well:

    #wpif2_topboxprev {
    background: url(../img/prevlabel.gif) left 100% no-repeat;
    background-size: 20%;
    }
    #wpif2_topboxnext {
    background: url(../img/prevlabel.gif) right 100% no-repeat;
    background-size: 20%;
    }
    #wpif2_topboxprev:hover, #wpif2_topboxprev:visited:hover {
    background: url(../img/prevlabel.gif) left 100% no-repeat;
    }
    #wpif2_topboxnext:hover, #wpif2_topboxnext:visited:hover {
    background: url(../img/nextlabel.gif) right 100% no-repeat;
    }

    This moves the arrows to the bottom and reduces the size so they should fit to the left and right of the “close”.
