Rigenerate meta social data

    Unfortunately I have a site where social meta data has been incorrectly entered. Now I would like to delete them all and leave the fields empty for Yoast to regenerate them by default. How is this possible? I don’t want to intervene on every single post manually.

    Yoast SEO does not have a feature to remove previously entered social data. This must be done on individual level.

    If you or your developer are comfortable editing the database directly, the social data for posts is stored in the database. Facebook (Open Graph) meta tags are stored in wp_postmeta where meta_key starts with _yoast_wpseo_opengraph. Twitter is stored in the same location but starts with _yoast_wpseo_twitter.

    For the health and safety of your site, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database. This is especially important before editing the database directly. Learn more about the benefits of regular backups.
