• Hi…I log in with my computer (dan) and have the rich toolbar when creating posts. HOWEVER, on the same model mac laptop, my co-worker (marci) does not have the toolbar. Why is that? We have the same plug ins on the site, and our firefox’s are the same version 26, flash is updated, java is activated with java 7 update 51 the same, and on both when logged in you can see the “TinyMCE Advanced ver 3.4.9.1. so I am at a loss. Can anyone help???

macbook pro’s mine is a an intel core i7 and her’s is a duo, but I don’t think that would make any difference?

    THANK YOU!!!!

    Dan

  • This would appear to be a strictly local problem rather than an issue in WordPress. Your co-worker should check that his browser is javascript enabled.

oh, and it does have the visual editor on both…just not the actual tool bar so she can’t make paragraphs. Meaning, a separate line, or to bold something.

esmi, thank you for responding…I did check the addon for firefox and javascript is enabled the exact same as mine which is what is so confusing! I open the preferences on both and they are the exact same….

What happens if your co-worker uses another browser? Or another machine?

We only have our two laptops. If the co-worker uses safari it also does not show up.

Sorry but all I can offer is that the issue is obviously specific to his computer or browser.
