Rich text editor missing!

  • Hi,
I used WP for months and there were always little html tags for bolding or italics or links up above the space where i would write my posts….but they aren’t there anymore. …I’ve noticed on the forum some people refering to options as to a “rich text editor” under Users, or Options > Writing. …but I don’t see that option in either spot. Any idea why this could be?

I recently switched to a Mac…could be be that I’m using Safari now rather than Firefox?
Please let me know if you know what’s going on! Thanks so much!!

*edit* I just downloaded firefox and sure enough the “quicktags” are there. …does anyone know how to get them to show up in safari? All of my RSS feeds are done through my safari browser so I would love not to need to use firefox as well/instead…
