    Hello,

Does this plugin place Rich Snippets on Google search results?

I saw “Rich snippets for reviews (schema.org)” on the Features but I don’t know if that’s the same.

    Best regards

    Yes it does!

The JSON-LD schema appears in Google’s search results and shows the (rich snippets) star rating and other information about your reviews. If the schema has been enabled in your shortcodes, you can use Google’s Structured Data Testing Tool to test your pages for valid schema data:

    Thanks,

I’ve just placed and this is what I get on the testing tool: http://prntscr.com/ksrcre

Do i have to place the [site_reviews] shortcode on all the pages I want to show the google Rich Snippet? I mean, if I just place and show on the homepage the [site_reviews] then I wont have Rich Snippets showing on the blog area?

BTW, what happens if I do not use this attribute “assign_to=”101”? Is there any way to assign a review to the full domain? Maybe not using that attribute is the way to go?

Hope to hear from you soon,

    Best regards.

    1. The Site Reviews plugin is not meant to be a full-featured schema plugin. Schema must reflect what is visible on the page, so if you are not using any of the Site Reviews shortcodes, the rating schema should not be present or else Google will penalise your website.

    2. Reviews are global by default. You use the “assigned_to” option to filter the reviews shown to those that have been assigned to a post_id. If you omit the “assigned” option then all reviews will be shown.

By the way, what do you mean by “schema must reflect what is visible on the page”.

Can’t I “display: none;” with css to hide the reviews on the frontend and just get the rich snippets?

Or I must show the reviews in order to be “legal” to google. I mean, the reviews are the same in both frontend and google results, just its being hided on the frontend.

The rich snippets represent the content of the page. If Google detects that they are misleading, then your SEO will take a hit.
