Support » Plugin: NP Quote Request WooCommerce » RFQ Not working on Prod

    Hey,

    The client site is using:
    PHP 7.3
    WordPress 5.8.1
    WooCommerce Plugin 5.8.0
    NP Quote Request WooCommerce 1.8.258

    Issue:
On the production site only (local and staging work fine and match prod), the payment input for RFQ is not showing on the page. We took this project over, and I am unfamiliar with how this plugin works under the hood, but I noticed that on my working local instance, #payment_method_gpls-rfq exists on the page and is defaulted to checked.

On Prod, the element is missing completely and we have a message stating, “Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.” in its place, and users cannot submit a quote request.

This started happening randomly yesterday morning and was working fine before that. There were no updates to the site made during the time, so I am unsure what could have happened.

The hosting is on GoDaddy, so maybe they did some sort of server update that started causing issues. I am noticing a lot of 403 errors in the dashboard of WooCommerce.

I checked the configuration of the RFQ in the WooCommerce settings and RFQ is selected from the dropdown in order to make all items request for quotes. However, on my local, I can see under the Payments tab “Quote Request – Request for Quote” that is enabled (nothing else is enabled here), but on the Prod site, there is no option for Quote Request.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

for some reason, on your server “plugins loaded” event did not seem to be working for loading of quote request payment gateway. i added it to the init event also

    add_action(‘init’, ‘gpls_woo_rfq_woocommerce_RFQ_load_payment_gateway’, 1000);

    glad it is working

    Thanks again.

This client is hosted on GoDaddy who won’t let us see the logs or really answer what server updates they did. It was running fine until Oct 11.

This is going to be my argument to let us host it, because this stuff wouldn’t happen.

“This client is hosted on GoDaddy who won’t let us see the logs or really answer what server updates they did”
that will keep causing trouble as plugins update ( not just this one). You need to be able to see the logs and the server updates.

    100% agree.

I will see if we can convince them to move to our hosting (DO with Forge) so this won’t happen again.

Thanks again, you can close the ticket.

we had to revert the fix since it caused a lot of code breaks. I am not forgetting the issue but wanted to let you know.

Can you let me know the fix you made? I can just make it manually and debug/test locally.

    in file gpls_woo_rfq_functions.php (under includes\classes) line 1840
init_gpls_rfq_payment_gateway(); has been commented out. you can uncomment and get RFQ back and it works in your case. However, for us it broke some of the more complicated setups.
I will provide a solution but for the time being, that is all you would need to do.

does the issue still remain or has it been resolved?

    (@mshartz5)

It can be resolved. We simply are not going to update the plugin since the fixed version. We will soon be moving off WooCommerce to direct API connections so when that is complete, we don’t need to worry about it.

    Thanks
