Rewrite Slug Doesn't work after getting code | WordPress.org

When the custom post types plugin is enabled and configured I can access the a custom taxonomy without a problem, as expected (ie domain.com/productcategory/augers ). However if I use “Get Code” and then disable the plugin it no longer works — I get a 404 error.

Hi theprawn,

Did you put the ‘get code’ code into your theme’s functions.php ? Also did you refresh your permalinks by going to the Settings->Permalinks page and saving them without changing anything?

This usually helps 😉

Hopefully what Octopixell suggested helped theprawn.

You’ll have to flush rewrite rules when moving away from the plugin and going to your own implementation with “Get code”.
