# Rewrite rules missing (I'm using Nginx)

 * Hi – I’ve installed this and followed through the entire installation process
   but on the page with the shortcode I get this message:
 * Rewrite rules are missingClick here to fix
 * Clicking the link does nothing.
 * I’m using Nginx – I presume this is the problem? Maybe you’re trying to modify.
   htaccess which Nginx doesn’t use?
 * There’s a tool here – if you can paste in the .htaccess rules you should get 
   the nginx version:

 * I ran into the same. Here’s what I did.
 * Go to Settings > Permalinks
 * Change to Default
 * Then Save Changes.
 * Then Change back to your previous selection (Post Name in my case).
 * Then save the changes. You will be good to go.

 * Dear dhilditch,
    I am using nginex for my main site wp3.in and AnsPress is fine
   there 🙂 so its not nginx issue. Simply try to do what [@ls41](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ls41/)
   said. 🙂

 * Cool thanks – changing the permalink structure and back again fixed the issue.
