Hi @tassi516
Do you mean you use PublishPress and Elementor? Or you don’t?
The link you’ve sent is in Japanese. But no, it’s expected that you’re able to use the ‘rewrite and republish’ feature as many times as you want.
Could you test this with another default WordPress post or page and see if you can still reproduce it after rewriting and republishing it once? We weren’t able to replicate this behavior on our end.
Hello @mikes41720
I am Japanese, so my English is bad. Sorry.
Do you mean you use PublishPress and Elementor? Or you don’t?
PublishPress and Elementor DON’T use.
I created a new post with the default post type and tried ‘rewrite and republish’. However, it still only shows up the first time.
Process:
- Create and publish post with default post type
- Rewrite and republish post from ‘rewrite and republish’
- I checked the post list (dashboard) and ‘rewrite and republish’ does not show up
Perhaps this plugin is the cause.

‘Rewrite & republish’ requires IP address avoidance?

Hi @tassi516
No worries at all! Let’s see if we can address this issue.
If you go to your WP admin dashboard > Settings > Duplicate Post > Display tab, is everything for the ‘show these links’ and ‘show links in’ ticked? Especially the ‘rewrite and republish’ option in the ‘posts list’?
Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts
Could you start with a default WP theme (e.g. TwentyTwenty) and only the Yoast Duplicate Post plugin as the only plugin enabled and see if you can still reproduce the issue? Then you can enable your preferred theme and your plugins, one by one, until you are able to reproduce the issue and locate the conflict.
Hi @mikes41720
Thanks for sharing the details.
The “IP Geo Pack” is still the cause. This plugin has not been updated in 3 years and I discontinue using it. Problem solved.
Thanks for your help.
