# Revisiting Dynamix theme error

 * I switched to the Dynamix Theme for a better mobile resonsiveness and allowing
   individuals to access training from their phone. Ironically, Badgeos has been
   isolated as a conflict.
 * During the isolation, I also started by removing the addons one at a time.
 * What happens to the the theme is that the page and post layouts from the post/
   page editors become nonfunctional and removes their tabs for each feature and
   stacks them on top of each other.
 * The theme also suggests using the following plugins:
    [https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-excerpt/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-excerpt/)
   [http://vc.wpbakery.com/](http://vc.wpbakery.com/)
 * The following is the unresolved post:
 * [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/incompatibility-with-dynamix-theme?replies=15](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/incompatibility-with-dynamix-theme?replies=15)
 * I know how to view the inspect elements for chrome and firefox. If you can tell
   me what to look for, I would be willing to help resolve this challenge.
 * Thank in advance for your help in looking at this challenge…

 * I am noticing that there are 9 connection errors. Can you tell me what is causing
   this and what I should point it to?

 * I hope you are all right Michael, I have not seen you post in a while.

 * Sorry, had to venture off to Westeros to attend a wedding. I heard the party
   died after I left.
 * Hmmm. Not sure what’s going on overall. If you could provide screenshots/urls
   with more information, I’ll be able to better visualize and work things out in
   my head.

 * This area does not function when BadgeOS is installed. [http://screencast.com/t/m1hfgJMlsKU](http://screencast.com/t/m1hfgJMlsKU)
   This area has multiple areas listed below that are supposed to be in a tabbed
   control panel for plugin options. I am sure that this is not a theme challenge
   vs a conflict with Visual Composer. It is their options that are failing [http://vc.wpbakery.com/](http://vc.wpbakery.com/)
   [http://wpbakery.com/](http://wpbakery.com/) These are used with the theme as
   required plugins

 * Are you familiar at all with your browser’s javascript console and developer
   tools? I have to believe that the tabs and whatnot are javascript powered, and
   somewhere something is causing a javascript error in your post editor screen.
   JS errors, by nature, can tend to break the execution of the rest of the page.
   The question is what’s the error and what’s the source.

 * Somewhat – This is what I see in the JS Console when looking at the page editor:
 * This is what I see when editing a badge:
 * “JQMIGRATE: Logging is active” jquery-migrate.js:21

   script_debug: “1”, new_admin_style: “1”, object_type: “post”, upload_file: “Use

   download: “Download”, ajaxurl: “[http://wunlivingcommunity.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php&#8221](http://wunlivingcommunity.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php&#8221);}
   cmb.js:267 “JQMIGRATE: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated” jquery-migrate.js:41 console.
   trace(): jquery-migrate.js:43 migrateWarn() jquery-migrate.js:43 jQuery.fn.live()
   jquery-migrate.js:471 <anonymous> friend-suggest.js:3 m.Callbacks/j() jquery.
   js:2 m.Callbacks/k.fireWith() jquery.js:2 .ready() jquery.js:2 J() jquery.js:

 * Curious if you’d be willing to let me into the admin at all. I’m really not sure
   at this point.

 * I’m admittedly not seeing anything different between that section with BadgeOS
   activated, and deactivated. I deactivated BadgeOS long enough to refresh the
   post editor. So, I guess I’m interested in a screenshot of what this section:
   [http://screencast.com/t/m1hfgJMlsKU](http://screencast.com/t/m1hfgJMlsKU) is
   supposed to look like.

 * I moved all the plugins into a troubleshooting folder via ftp and now can’t seem
   to replicate the error. Each section at the bottom of the post should be in a
   tab. Page config etc. I am not sure where to go from here…
 * I guess it may not be BadgeOs… Which I am happy to profess, because your plugin
   has opened many new doors to the training world.
 * Can we address the connection type challenge that was also mentioned in this
   post or would you prefer to open a new thread?
 * You still have access as admin and I would appreciate it if you could look at
   this.

 * Yeah, I’m not sure any more with regards to the Dynamix theme tab issue. I don’t
   have my own copy so I can’t test on my own site.
 * Please start a new thread for the other issue.

 * When I contacted the theme developer, he stated the following:
 * I believe your issue is due to a plugin named “badgeos” – it replaces the metabox
   options to a different version and therefore breaks the tabs.
 * Is this something that can be fixed from your end so that I can use the theme
   and gain back the control of the individual post/pages.
 * Thanks again for looking into this…

 * Can you check the theme files and look for any sort of “cmb” or “custom meta
   box” folder? Or any folder hierarchies that are similar to [http://cl.ly/image/1V1s2t102g1h](http://cl.ly/image/1V1s2t102g1h)?
 * I’m now wondering if they use [http://github.com/WebDevStudios/Custom-Metaboxes-and-Fields-for-WordPress/](http://github.com/WebDevStudios/Custom-Metaboxes-and-Fields-for-WordPress/)
   in their plugin, and it’s a different version than the one we have in BadgeOS.

 * I have given the theme developer this thread in order to see what we have already
   done and join the conversation if he chooses.
