  • To my knowledge, unless the rules have changed, the WordPress support forum is not intended to be used to ask for website reviews. The purpose of this forum is to provide support for the WordPress software, where members of the community can answer questions posed by fellow WordPress users.

Your post might also be construed as an attempt to increase Google PageRank, even if you did not intend that when you made this post.

With all due respect to the importance of the cause…
    – you should not yell in the forum (all caps are considered yelling!)

The site is very, very slow – it takes ages until all that gizmos show up. Unless a curious moderator nobody will wait that long to see your site 🙂
You should adjust the width/size of your blog if you want it in a frame (though I could imagine better solutions, too): it has horizontal scrollbars.

    etoile,
Since according to the “Big Boss” (Matt) the links have ‘no-follow’ – there is no G-juice 🙂
And the “Your WordPres” section is for showing your blog. Yes, the blogger can ask for opinions about the design, usability, look in other browsers that s/he has no access to etc.

Sorry about that moshu – I’m not having a good track record tonight, am I? I was reading off the front page so I hadn’t noticed what section of the forum we were in. *smacks head* I’ll quit being helpful until I actually know something!

Thanks for the feedback thus far although I am a bit confused by some of it. I thought this forum was for asking for help, including reviews of WordPress based sites. Please let me know if I am mistaken in this perception. I also do not understand the bit from Moshu, about links having ‘no-follow’.

Now to some of the technical issues raised which I understood. I did not mean to shout, by using the capitals, just to highlight that there was a link called “publications” on my main site, which would lead you to the wordpress blog.

How do I resize the wordpress to fit the frame. Actually, the set up I currently have does allow the wordpress to fit in the frame on my computer and every other computer I have looked at the site from. The scrolling bars do come up automatically should the viewing window/or screen becoming too small.

I greatly appreciate the feedback thus far.

    @jmdziba,
The no-follow issue was addressed to the other poster, not you.
And be re-assured: you have posted in the right place and in the right way. (I also clarified that above)

Re: capitals – I meant the title and the tags.

The scrolling bars do come up automatically should the viewing window/or screen becoming too small.
I know. But having horizontal scrollbars at 1024px (=my res) is annoying. That’s why I mentioned.

If you are using those “keywords” in the articles, you may want to consider to use the “tags” feature (available with plugins), so they would become clickable and making connection between posts having the same tags.

Sorry about the capitals. No offense meant and did not mean to shout.

Interesting website. The main page opens REALLY slow, If I was not specifically looking for that site I might have left before it opened.

I liked your blog. It opened quickly and has a nice clean look to it. Is it a template?

Also, I saw a link to an article on your blog on the main page but not a specific link to your blog.

    Good luck – Ryan

The theme for the blog is aesthetic, but I am not sure if you can still find it on the web. The designer of the theme seems to be venturing more into porn and less so into theme design http://www.dilpu.net/.

I would like to re-do the whole site, changing it into php, but I have very limited knowledge of that, and so am afraid to try that. The site as it is was built using basic html knowledge with rudimentary understanding of php. So any pointers to help are most welcome.
